Bring the family out for a skate on our Winery's pond and enjoy the spectacular view of a frozen Lake Erie.  Break from your skate for warm drinks such as mulled wine, hot chocolate, or delicious Icewine around the fire. Complimentary treats are also available to enjoy while perusing the works of Essex County's writer's association indoors.  BBQ lunch will be available for purchase.  Come out and enjoy the splendor of the Festival of Ice.

Join Sprucewood Shores Winery at this years "Amuse your Bouche" Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor Essex. Turning the traditional sit-down gala into a lounge/networking event full of fun, food and fundraising is the focus on Thursday April 26th, 2012 at St. Clair College of the Arts. More than a dinner and gala, the idea is interaction. Join us for a Premiere Event 'Gourmet Gardens' as we celebrate Food, Wine and Spring!  Live entertainment, chefs reception, and a gourmet lunch nestled in the vineyard.  Tickets are $100 Benefiting Education Programs of The Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society.  Presented by the Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Foundation.

Our Mothers have always spoiled us with lots of love, food, and attention, so spoil them back with an enjoyable afternoon of gourmet food and wine! Chef Jeff from To Your Kitchen will be preparing a delightful array of food for our mothers to enjoy and our Winemaker Tanya will be pouring 5 wines and providing a 20 min tasting seminar.  Please see the attached lunch menu.  Tickets are $35/person + tax and $20/person + tax for children under 10 plus HST.

Sip into Summer  Wine and Herb weekend is back, with the wineries of Essex and Pelee Island Coast featuring a different herb-themed food pairing matching with a premium wine selected to highlight the flavour and aroma of the herb.

Chef Don at 3D Catering will be providing Sprucewood Shores customers a lovely Herbed Chicken and Organic Quinoa with Spiced Yogurt to be paired with a premium wine.  For the cost of $5, enjoy this delicious dish and a free wine tasting of 4 wines.

In celebration of the LaSalle Strawberry Festivals 25 year anniversary, Sprucewood Shores will be sponsoring a Wine Garden at the Festival.  A great new addition to the festival where you may purchase a glass of wine to enjoy with live entertainment.  Visit the website for times and further details.

Join us at a Field Bash at Phils Hill and Jobin Rock Farms on Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th from 7pm-close. Special guests Alan Turner and the Steel Horse Band on Friday followed by Bigg Wiggle, Drop Dead Famous, and Teethen Freeks on Saturday. Watch the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs on the 15 foot screens and rock on with some great music, food, and Sprucewood Shores wines!

Relax and enjoy Yoga class and quiet reflection on the sandy shores of Lake Erie with Bright Yoga.  Feast on natural raw foods prepared by the Green Heart Nurtionista while listening to the lovely sounds of Tara Watt.  No registration needed.  For further info, email [email protected] or visit their website at www.brightyoga.ca.  Cost is $25 with $5/p proceeds to Yoga4Hope.  Tapas are $2 per serving and wine is $5 per glass.

Join us by the Lake at Holiday Beach Conservation Area. Feel warm summer breezes gently stir your soul.  Tip your glass and savour wonderful wines. Nibble on sumptous food and listen to the band play while you stroll down to the beach and watch the water lap against the shore.  This year and into the future EPIC (Essex Pelee Island Coast) wineries are excited to announce that the Vintage Tasting is moving to one of our regions 19 conservation areas.  Tickets are $65/p and include all wine samples, a wine glass and other goodies, food, entertainment, parking, and a perfect day.  To reserve tickets please call ERCA at 519 776 5209 from 8am to 4:30pm or order online.

Visit us for live music and tapas all weekend long!  Saturday Trish Wales will swoon you away with Chef Jeff serving up his unique hordeuvres (tapas).  Sunday is Soiree Band and Mettawas Station tapas.  Enjoy a glass of wine or sangria to enjoy with the entertainment and food.  Take a drive along the shore and stop by one of the many businesses to sample the local foods, taste the local wine or check out the shops. It is the perfect event for all ages.

Participants offer a variety of unique activities to showcase their businesses. The variety of businesses include: farmers, wineries, road side vegetable stands, restaurants, bed and breakfast hoteliers, outdoor recreation (golf, conservation areas, beaches, harbour/marina), artists, authors, and small business owners ( salon, antiques, gift shop, convenience store).

We encourage you to visit as many locations as possible. At any participating location pick up an Explore The Shore brochure which contains a listing of all businesses’ activities as well as the grand prize passport! To be eligible to win the grand prize, have any 5 businesses stamp or initial on their respective spot on the passport and drop the passport into the grand prize box.

Join us in exploring the bounty of Essex County wine country with visits to local wineries. Our tour is a fundraising initiative to support Hospice of Windsor. In association with “Savour the Sea” Evening, our event includes a tour of three local wineries and dinner “al Fresco" held at Ciociaro Club on Sunday, September 16, 2012.

You and your friends are invited to gather at the Ciociaro Club at 12 noon. Buses will depart at 1:00 p.m. for their first winery stop. You will be provided a box lunch and have the opportunity to visit and sample local wines for approximately 1 hour at each location. Buses will tour 3 wineries and return to Ciociaro Club approximately 5:00 p.m. at which time dinner “al Fresco” will be served at 6:00 p.m. But please stay and enjoy the rest of the evening with entertainment along with other activities.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Hospice of Windsor in support of the many programs they provide to our community. Tickets are $65 and are limited so contact us to get yours today! We hope to see you at "Savour the Wine Tour".

  • Explore our local farmers and artisans products. Vendors will be onsite showcasing their wares.
  • Live Music (1pm-5pm)
  • Food - A local chef will be onsite preparing delicious food to enjoy
  • A Professional basket wrapper onsite for shoppers to create their own 'Local Gift Baskets'
  • Bring the kids! - Hot chocolate...and for the adults, mulled wine. Bring your own cross-country skis or snowshoes or just walk and explore our nature trail through the vineyard and waterfront.
  • Horse carriage rides around the vineyard - See below for scheduling
  • New fire pit on our front patio! Enjoy delicious food and wine by the fire.

Come visit the wineries of Essex Pelee Island Coast (EPIC) for a taste of the season! There are a dozen local wineries participating. Weave your way across the county and discover new vintages, culinary delights, music and unique experiences at each winery.

Sprucewood Shores will be hosting their annual 'Soup off', so come in to try some delicious soups prepared by local caterers and the staff of Sprucewood Shores!  

This regional open house gives us a chance to say "thank you” to our patrons for their support throughout the year and an opportunity to give back to our communities. Please bring a canned good or monetary donation. All proceeds go to local food banks.
