We are hosting a special wine tasting of our unreleased 2015 vintage wines for our Wine Club members! Enjoy a tour of the wine processing facility presented by our award-winning winemaker Tanya Mitchell. You're in for a treat as you taste gourmet cheese, as well as wines straight from the tank and barrel! Members are requested to RSVP anytime before January 1st.

If you have cabin fever, treat yourself to an EPIC weekend wine tour! Celebrate winter with us in EPIC Wine Country, for some winter activities, wine & food pairings and entertainment. Each winery will present a unique winter experience, from outdoor skating and snowman building contests, to professional ice carvings and ice wine tastings. You can be sure that you will find culinary delights around every corner paired with award winning EPIC wines! Don’t miss this years EPIC Festival of Ice! Bring a canned good for admission.

Cozy up to the crackling fire with a mug of our delicious Warm N Cozy Mulled Wine, and take in the spectacular view of the frozen crests on Lake Erie with complimentary chocolate pairings with our premium wines at Sprucewood Shores Winery.

Shake your winter chill off and enjoy the splendor of the Festival of Ice at any of the participating Wineries in Essex Pelee Island Coast Wine Country.  It is sure to be a fun weekend in the County.

Forget basketball…it’s March Mac’ness in Essex Pelee Island Coast Wine Country! Come out of hibernation and bet on a good time touring the EPIC wine country.  Your “vine-side” ticket includes a 2 oz wine sample and Mac ‘N Cheese pairing at each participating winery. That’s a lot of cheesy goodness to celebrate so don’t forget to vote for your top 3 favourites! The winning winery will earn top honours with the Tastiest Mac ‘n Cheese bragging rights and trophy. Your completed ballot will be your entry for a great EPIC Wine Country prize – four tickets to March Mac’ness 2016!

Join us as our splendid new pavilion is transformed into a kalleidoscope of colour, taste and aromas as we welcome this wonderful season. Come savour the food, wines and sounds of a memorable afternoon.

The 5th Anniversary Gourmet Gardens will feature acclaimed Detroit vocalists Charles & Gwen Scales. Charles & Gwen have headlined the MGM Grand Casino, Baker's Keyboard Lounge and the Detroit Jazz Festival.

Other highlights include:

  • "A Chef's Reception" features Matthew Johnston (Artisan Grill), Manor Arora & Sergio Zevallos (Caesar's Windsor) and Benjamin Leblanc-Beadoin (Iron Kettle Bed & Breakfast) competing to create pre-lunch appetizers. Guests will choose the winning appetizer, while they enjoy a sampling of Sprucewood's fine vintages.
  • A tantalizing four-course gourmet luncheon prepared by Chef Don Kumarasinghe, paired with Sprucewood's delectable wines. Sprucewood Winemaker Tanya Mitchell will speak to the pairings with each course.
  • Luncheon entertainment to be provided by the Tristan Taylor Trio.
  • Emcee Anna Cabrera of the Windsor Star.
  • The "Dream Raffle" featuring spectacular prizes, as well as an opportunity to plan for Mother's Day and your Spring Garden through a fabulous silent auction.

An evening of surprises and delights. You'll park your car, board a trolley, then be whisked off to adventure along the Essex County wine trail. Where exactly you are going, which three EPIC wineries will wine and dine you and where the evening will end, with wine, dessert and a shakin' concert under the stars, is our secret.

Bring your sense of adventure and be ready for fun! You'll enjoy delicious food and wine, live music and a shakin' good time.

Park at The Country Depot in Harrow (Sinasac and Walker Rd.). The Trolleys will depart from there at 6:00 and 6:30 pm. You'll be back at your car at 11:30, full and happy after your start of summer adventure.

Join Sprucewood at The 2nd Annual Taste of Tecumseh Festival. Shuttle buses will be starting at 5:00pm and running regularly throughout the evening. Parking is available at Tecumseh Arena. This two day event will be an exhibit of delectable tastes and unique talents, all at a beautiful waterfront setting nestled on Lake St. Clair. Tickets are available.

Join us every third Sunday of every month from June to October for our annual Sips & Sounds. Our popular summer event features local bands playing on the beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Erie.

Enjoy our fresh house-made sangria and our ever popular picnic baskets, available to share with your friends and family. Join us for a glass of wine and good music starting at 1 p.m. Bring your own lawn chair or enjoy our picnic tables this summer at Sprucewood Shores!

June 19 Karen Morand - Morand’s songwriting unapologetically takes us from the grit of the spiritual to the comfort of a home cooked meal. With big, warm vocals she delivers those songs in performance that’s feisty and playful. Together with BOSCO (Aaron Verhulst on mandolin and lead guitar and Benny Santoro on cajon) makes big, bouncy roots music infused with gospel and blues.
July 17 Brand X - A well known party band performing hits of the 50's through present day. Genres include disco, rock, country and many others. Brand X has performed at the Tomato festival, Freedom Festival, Strawberry Festival and many more.
August 21 The Pianomen - The Pianomen is a Windsor, Ontairo based trio, playing the hit music of Elton John and Billy Joel. The trio is an energetic and captivating band. Our showmanship and music quality will have you singing and toe-tapping all night long!
September 18 Ernie Miller - Amherstburg resident Ernie Miller has been playing music since the 1960s. The international guitar vocalist from England plays music from the 1940s up to today's hits. Miller has played many venues in Amherstburg and will be continuing here at the winery this fall.  Miller will be playing at the beach at the Winery, with lots of fun activities to enjoy, please check out the other events listed on the website.

Performances are weather dependent and will be canceled in case of inclement weather. Call the winery before the event if you are unsure.

Spend the day reliving that drive along the Lake Road that you may have experienced in your life. Stop by one of the many businesses to sample the local foods, taste the local wine or check out the shops. It is the perfect event for all ages.

Participants offer a variety of unique activities to showcase their businesses. The variety of businesses include: farmers, wineries, road side vegetable stands, restaurants, bed and breakfast hoteliers, outdoor recreation (golf, conservation areas, beaches, harbour/marina), artists, authors, and small business owners.

Sprucewood Shores will be serving our gourmet picnic baskets to enjoy down by the beach. Wine and sangria will be available throughout the entire day on our patio.

We encourage you to visit as many locations as possible. At any participating location pick up an Explore The Shore brochure which contains a listing of all businesses’ activities as well as the grand prize passport!  To be eligible to win the grand prize, have any 5 businesses stamp or initial on their respective spot on the passport and drop the passport into the grand prize box.

We hope to encourage new visitors and repeat guests to visit businesses and organizations along County Road 50!

Come out to Fort Malden National Historic Site on September 9th, 10th, & 11th and celebrate the rich agricultural heritage and local food and drink producers of Windsor and Essex County.

Join us at Sprucewood Shores for an ALL LEVELS yoga practice to welcome the fall equinox,overlooking beautiful Lake Erie! Our one hour yoga practice will be followed by a glass of wine, tasty appetizers and live music. Paddleboarding will also be available at the winery this day at an extra charge.

Ticket price inlcudes a one hour yoga class, one glass of wine, appetizers and a monetary donation to the Kidney foundation. Refunds will only be given until Sept, 2/16.

Come and join South Surf at Sprucewoord Shores Estate Winery for stand-up paddle boarding, eats and sips to celebrate a new and exciting business in Kingsville...South Surf!!

The event will start at 2pm and go until 6pm. Come and Stand Up Paddle Board off the beautiful shore at Sprucewood. $20 per hour or $10 for half an hour to rent a board and go for a ride! There will be drinks to purchase as well as on the house eats to nibble on.

All are welcome! Come out and enjoy the gorgeous scenery and winery, listen to some live music, drink some amazing wine and meet some awesome people!

The boards will be onsite anytime after 12:30pm so contact us at 519-890-3486 if you are part of the yoga group and want to book some time on the board right after yoga.

It’s that time of year - time to eat, drink and be merry! Your Local EPIC wineries invite you to do exactly that at Taste the Season - their 8th Annual Holiday Open House taking place Saturday & Sunday November 26th and 27th. Tour EPIC Wine Country to experience true Holiday warmth at participating wineries and give back through your canned good or monetary donation at each stop. Each of the 10 participating EPIC Wineries will treat you to seasonal food and wine pairing, great gift ideas and new this year-enter our photo contest for your chance to win an EPIC grand prize. At Sprucewood Shores, taste a selection of homemade soups each heart-fully hand crafted by our staff and their families for you to enjoy. But don't forget…this is a competition, so make sure to taste them all and choose your favourite for a chance to be the lucky winner of the Holiday Draw.

All that is required to enjoy our tasty soups and free tastings are a donation of a canned or boxed good, or a small monetary donation all of which will be donated to a local food bank.

We will also be featuring samples of  Warm 'n Cozy Mulled Wine. This wine is served hot, infused with orange, clove and cinnamon giving it a smell and flavour that can't help but warm you up and put a smile on your face. It is the perfect gift and entertaining beverage for the holiday season!

Christmas trees will also be available for sale in our parking lot every weekend starting Sunday Nov 27th!

PLEASE NOTE we are only open until 4pm on Saturday, and stop our soup service at 330pm.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Fresh cut Christmas Trees will be available for purchase at Sprucewood Shores Winery starting November 27th!  Visit us for some Christmas cheer for a mug of Warm 'N Cozy mulled wine and a special treat while you choose your natural christmas tree.  Kids activites and hot chocolate will be available every weekend throughout December, so bring the family; animals welcome!
